Winebar NOMI is proud to host the second edition of its collaboration with Davina Gescha, presented by POLLAKS. Following the success of the inaugural event, this edition deepens the ongoing dialogue between NOMI’s intimate cultural setting and Gescha’s powerful, visionary works.
At the heart of Gescha’s practice lies an exploration of human vulnerability, sensuality, and transformation. Her paintings often hover between figuration and abstraction, using heightened color palettes and sensuous forms to challenge conventional notions of identity, desire, and perception. Saturated hues, luminous surfaces, and meticulously rendered details create works that are as psychologically charged as they are visually arresting.
In her own words, Gescha sees her work as a bridge between inner states of being and external expression. Each painting becomes a site where tension and fluidity coexist—a way of translating emotions that resist easy definition into images that demand presence. Her pieces invite the viewer into a dialogue that is as much about looking outward as it is about looking inward.
By situating Gescha’s work within the social and convivial environment of NOMI, this second edition highlights the transformative potential of art beyond the traditional gallery context. The event underscores POLLAKS’ commitment to expanding the platforms in which contemporary voices are experienced, and to cultivating encounters where art becomes part of everyday life.
