Alex See
Artist
Alex See is a Berlin-based artist whose practice combines photography, digital manipulation, computational processes, and sculptural materiality to reflect on the nature of representation in the post-digital age.Starting with a digital image, See engages in processes of manipulation, dissection, and reconfiguration. He seeks uncertainty, overcomplexity, and confusion – destabilizing the image and dismantling its coherence. The result is removed from its original context and transferred into new material states, forming physical objects and video works.
Recent projects involve printed fabric, fibrefill, and resin to create sculptural hybrid forms. Their blurred, distorted surfaces retain traces of multiple transformations. The resulting objects exist in a state of flux – part image, part artifact – never fixed, always in transition. They speak to a present defined by instability: layered, ambiguous, and perpetually shifting.
See’s work has been exhibited internationally, including The Slime Knows by Erratum Projects @ Brasserie Atlas (Brussels, 2025), Nebulous by Qloud @ Purist Gallery (London, 2025), Holographic Dream by PAI32 @ Feelium Gallery (London, 2025), and Samstag Rendezvous at Kule (Berlin, 2024). He was artist-in-residence at GlogauAIR, Berlin (2025)
